About us

Ambright is a technology company based in Munich with a team of around 30 employees. With our innovative process of printed-light, we are revolutionizing how lighting is designed and produced. Our approach fundamentally changes how luminaires and products are conceived, developed, and manufactured. Our products combine high-tech, design, and individuality, and are used wherever architecture, branding, and atmosphere come together.

Welcome

Become part of the Ambright team and support our engineers in developing innovative lighting products. As a working student in Design Engineering, you will work at the intersection of product design, mechanical construction, and electromechanical systems. The goal is to transform creative and technical concepts into precise, manufacturable solutions.

What You Will Do

- Design of assemblies and components using SolidWorks and Rhino 3D
- Technical development and detailed design of concepts
- Translation of design ideas into functional, manufacturable 3D models
- Integration of lighting technology, mechanics, and electronics into designs
- Consideration of proportions, materials, assembly, and manufacturing requirements
- Creation of technical drawings, bills of materials, and development documentation
- Research, selection, and evaluation of suitable components and manufacturing processes
- Collaboration with product design, engineering, electronics, and production teams
- Building and improving functional and design prototypes (e.g., 3D printing, workshop work)
- Performing, evaluating, and documenting functional and structural tests
- Optimization of existing assemblies in terms of integration, stability, and feasibility

What You Bring

- Background in mechatronics and an interest in design
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to actively contribute
- Independent, curious, and reliable working style
- Willingness to learn is more important than perfection, you don’t need to know everything yet

What We Offer

- Real responsibility instead of routine tasks
- High creative freedom and short decision-making processes
- Flexible working hours compatible with your studies (home office possible by arrangement)
- A young, motivated team in a design- and technology-driven environment
- Exciting products with strong innovation and design focus
- Modern, light-filled office space in Munich
- The opportunity to make a visible impact with your ideas
