Award winners shine with details

On behalf of Siemens Healthineers Shanghai, we developed the Mood Light for the SOMATOM go.now computer tomograph. We are proud to have won another iF Design Award for our client. The central element is a three-dimensional radiant panel that floats above the patient and attracts their attention: This allows measurably more patients to be guided through the scanner in the same amount of time than without it.

In addition to the Mood Light, the technology carrier combines various components: for example, a digital-visual countdown gives breathing commands. With an integrated camera, the medical staff can keep an eye on the patient to detect even the smallest movements and keep the patient in the correct position.

Ambright was involved in the development from the very beginning as a source of ideas and, as an experienced system supplier, had an eye on the entire process. The unit is manufactured in Munich and delivered pre-assembled. The application potential of light is always impressive.
