Experience printed-light in Munich

Credits: Ambright

We offer an exclusive behind-the-scenes look with engaging presentations and fresh insights from the world of design and its intersection with technology.

In his presentation “Made in Munich: Lighting Design through Process and Technology,” our Design Lead Lorenz Noelle uses concrete projects to illustrate the journey from concept to implementation.

For the first time Bernhard Dessecker will present his MasterSeries № 02 NEW YORK at Ambright. It is inspired by the metropolis’s iconic city blocks. Clean lines and precise geometry capture the city’s characteristic architecture and translate its urban rhythm into a modern lighting object. NEW YORK combines precise lines with a sense of floating lightness. The vertical, modular elements create a fascinating interplay of light, shadow, and reflections, like a stroll through the streets of Manhattan on a sunny day.

Bernhard Dessecker is a designer, lighting designer, and interior architect with over thirty years of international experience. Significant lighting projects in Munich bear his signature, including the design of the Münchner Freiheit and Marienplatz subway stations in Munich.

Another highlight is Munich-based artist Yves Peitzner. At the Ambright Open House, he will present ENGRAM ,a first for Munich, his latest light sculpture, created based on a brief recording of brain activity. What remains is not the memory itself, but its trace. A portrait without an image. A moment without a narrative. Reduced to its emotional structure. Color moves slowly across a textile surface. The light shifts in hue and intensity, unfolding over time. Not live. Not reactive. A recorded state, captured in light. An engram.

Yves Peitzner’s works transform spaces into immersive, multisensory environments where art, technology, and human emotions converge. His works can be found in museums, cultural institutions, and with global brands.

We look forward to inspiring conversations, new perspectives, and a personal exchange in a relaxed atmosphere over an aperitivo. Fascination arises when creativity and technology meet.

What is printed-light?

Printed-light is a digital production technology designed to bridge the gap between design and manufacturing.

It enables:

  • High-precision surface design
  • Scalable production processes
  • New applications in architecture, product design, and materials development

The technology represents a shift toward digitally controlled, design-oriented manufacturing.

Who is this event for?

The event is aimed at professionals and interested individuals from the following fields:

  • Design and the creative industries
  • Architecture and interior design
  • Production and manufacturing technologies
  • Materials innovation and surface technology

It is also suitable for students and anyone interested in the intersection of design, technology, and innovation.

Why this event is relevant

The Ambright Open House offers a rare opportunity to:

  • Understand how design concepts are translated into physical results
  • Experience real-world applications of new production technologies
  • Gain insights into the future of design-driven manufacturing systems

This is particularly relevant in the context of global trends such as:

  • Digital manufacturing
  • Mass customization
  • Sustainable and efficient production
